At least it was only $10. It could be worse.

Like if you came home one day and there was no wife, no kids and a note on the kitchen counter where you basically find out that your marriage is over and you’re gonna have to start paying support payments... on top of the carrying costs of the house you bought not long ago. And you’re locked into a 5 year mortgage and breaking it would cost in excess of $10,000 in penalties.

Or if you were driving somewhere and you hit a pothole, which kicks up some rock, which hits a brake line, which causes brake fluid to start leaking. But you don’t notice until the next morning when you start the car and the brake pedal sags right to the floor and you have to figure out some way to get your car to a local repair shop... hopefully without the cost of a tow.
